Management

The Team

Regarding the management of the WonderVillage project, including planning, construction, and ongoing management, the original founders of the Wonderland Group have decided to nominate three representatives to act as the Board of Directors and one person to act as the shareholder of the new WonderVillage company. The reason for a single shareholder is to ease and simplify the legal structure and the ongoing management of the company (from a legal and operational perspective). Together the Board of Directors will nominate various managers to support the creation of the project and the ongoing management and operation.

The shareholder has been chosen to be Boaz Birman. In the event that Boaz Birman will not be able to function, or will expire, Yuval Birman will be his automatic and pre-approved replacement. The Board of Directors will include Boaz Birman, Yuval Birman, and Yaron Weber.

Management Principles

Financing

The objective behind the entire financing plan for the WonderVillage project rests on the idea of community. In regards to the business aspect of the project, this means that the only people with any kind of agenda involved in the project will be those directly affected by the outcome and ongoing operation of the project.

The significance of this decision is that the project will not enlist any outside financing, from private investors or from financial institutions. The financing for the project will come solely from the House Owners who purchase a property in the Village.

This plan mitigates the risks usually involved in large-scale real estate projects because the team will not be spending "anyone else's money", and there will be no outside interests or agendas. Additionally, any future revenue that will be made by the project will be enjoyed by those directly involved in the project - the House Owners themselves.

Execution

The management of the execution, construction, and operation of the project will employ Wonderland's tried and tested business principles of direct employment and direct materials acquisitions.

The Village will be managing the execution of the project directly - meaning that the Village will not be hiring any subcontractors or outside/third party employees. This is also how the Village will manage the acquisition of materials.

The direct employment of every last manager and employee involved in executing and constructing the project, together with direct acquirement of all the necessary materials, will significantly mitigate the risk generally associated with projects of this size.

John Weber will be managing the execution of the project. John has over 15 years of experience in international business management, and is one of the original founders of the Wonderland community. He has managed many large-scale projects over the years, and his management style is based on his values of trust and open communication, direct and "hands-on" management, allowing space for both the big picture as well as attention to detail, and enjoying every step of the way.
